Two hardcore Naxalites surrenders in Kondagaon

Two warrantee and cash award carrying Naxalites active in Kondagaon and Narayanpur area have surrendered before CRPF 212 Battalion headquarters at Kondagaon on Thursday. The surrendered naxalites are Nagru Korram son of Ghasiyaram Korram aged 40 years and Bajnu son of Gangaram Korram age 24 years resident of Timrugaon under Madrapal police station limits. Nagru carries cash award of Rs 2000 while Bajnu has Rs 1000 in his name. The surrendered Naxalites stated that Naxal commander Jan Militia Baynar area committee Rasool had lured him to be with them.

Bacyard Scheme: 37.13 Lakh chickens distributed to more than 76 thousand beneficiaries

State Government's Animal Husbandry Development Department has distributed nearly 37 lakh 13 thousand chickens to more than 76 thousand beneficiaries in previous three years, under Backyard Scheme. This includes the beneficiaries of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward classes and General category as well. In year 2011-12, 14 lakh 29 thousand chickens were distributed to 25 thousand beneficiaries whereas in year 2013-14 nearly 13 lakh 24 thousand chickens were distributed to 26 thousand beneficiaries.

Seven Teachers of Chhattisgarh to be felicitated at hands of President on Teachers Day

On the occasion of Teachers day on September 5, five teachers of Chhattisgarh will be felicitated at hands of President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee for their excellent contribution in the field of education, at the Teachers Felicitation Programme to be organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. These teachers will be awarded incentives of Rs 25 thousand each along with a silver medal and a certificate. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has congratulated the teachers selected for prestigious President Award.

Five hardcore, award carrying and warranted naxalltes surrendered before the 188 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force at Kondagaon headquarters on Wednesday. The surrendered Naxals are Massu Samal son of & tuba, 28 years, resident of village Bhongapal of Barda dalam carries Rs 15000 award, Rainu Budhram Dugga, 35 years resident of village Jhankari, Rassu Saidu Mandavi, 25 years of village Jhankari, Jagganath Mehar Dugga, 40 years also of village Jhankari, all three from Barda Dalam as members.

Four Naxal surrender in Kondagaon

Four Naxals surrendered before Kondagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Meena and Additional Superintendent of Police (Naxal Ops) Surject Atri, and Farasgaon Sub Divisional Officer (Police) Rajendra Singh Parihar on Wednesday. Former Barada Jan Militia Commander Sada Mandavi (34) of Kulanar, and three former Balt LOS members Dakalu (32) of Kulanar, Shradu Kavade (22) of Badagai and Manguram (32) of Badagai village under Badedongar block laid their arms and joined the mainstream society.

Two dreaded Maoists carrying a reward of Rs 3 lath on their heads surrendered along with carbines to the police in the presence of Bastar Range Inspector General of Police SRP Kalluri and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena here on Monday.
