हरियर छत्तीसगढ वृक्षारोपण`` महाअभियान के तहत 20 जुलाई को जिला नारायणपुर के जिला पुलिस बल, छसबल एवं आईटीबीपी द्वारा वृक्षारोपण महोत्सव के रूप में मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय नारायणपुर परिसर में संतोष सिंह पुलिस अधीक्षक नारायणपुर द्वारा सपरिवार वृक्षारोपण किये उनके साथ अनिल सोनी अति.
State Election Commissioner along with Senior Officials of State Government discussed about the arrangements for Panchayat elections and finalized the strategy for conducting independent, unbiased and peaceful elections. State Election Commissioner PC Dalai, Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, Director General of Police AN Upadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department NK Aswal reviewed the district-wise arrangements and gave necessary guidance and instructions on important aspects like voting, counting and security arrangements.
State government will establish blood banks in thirteen districts of the state within a month. State Health Minister Amar Agrawal has directed the health department officials in a review meeting to make all the necessary arrangements in this regard. The minister informed that the blood banks will be started in Jashpur, Narainpur, Bijapur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Balrampur, Surajpur, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, Bemetara, Balod, Gariaband and Baloda Bazaar districts within a month. It may be mentioned that the state health department is presently running blood banks in sixteen districts.
Farmer-welfare policies of State Government have begun to yield positive results even in the geographically difficult areas like tribal populated Abujhmad area of Chhattisgarh. Earlier Abujhbmad was infamous for the incidents of naxal violence, but now with implementation of various schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, the image of Abujhmad has transformed into positive. Now the laborious farmers of Abujhmad have begun to counter naxal violence with peaceful green revolution.

General approval for construction of roads on forestland in 10 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected districts of state will now be granted easily, as Central Government has slackened the rules related to this procedure. Centre has simplified the procedure for general approval under Section-2 of Central Forest Conservation Act 1980, keeping in view the need of infrastructural development for public utility. As per the simplified procedure, the general approval for construction of two-lane highways on forestland will be given by State Government itself.
District collector Taman Singh Sonwani paid a surprise visit at hostels and ashrams in Remawand. Gohada and Nelwad villages in order to see facilities being provided to students. According to reports, collector during visit enquirer about water, toilets, food and other basic facilities from concerned authorities. State Government's Manpower Planning Department in association with District Administration has organized a two-day 'Rozgar Mela' in naxal-affected district for the first time, on instructions of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. In this event, Small Industries Organization (Udyog Bharti) is conducting the registration of youngsters for jobs in various trades. On the first day, total 110 candidates were registered for various posts including supervisor, security guard and office staff related jobs.
Strengthening the base of peaceful development in Naxal-violence affected areas, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation of about 851 development works around Rs 191.65 crores during his day-long visit to two Naxal-affected districts of Chhattisgarh namely Bijapur and Narainpur, which include 94 development worth Rs 80.95 crore in Bijapur and 757 development works worth Rs 111 crore in Narainpur district.
