State Government has posted officials to Employment and Self-Employment Guidance Centers (ESEGC)in the nine newly constituted district for the convenience of unemployment youth in these areas. Technical Education Department of the State has posted the officials of Directorate of Employment and Training to these positions. According to the order released from Secretariat issued on behalf of the Department, A O Lari serving as Deputy Director of ESEGC at Jagdalpur, has been posted to Sukma.
Saying that geography of Chhattisgarh has changed from January 1, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that the journey of Chhattisgarh's development began with 16 districts, then Narayanpur and Bijapur were constituted in 2007 and now nine new districts, have been added taking number of districts to 27. We want district administration to reach to far-fledged areas of Chhattisgarh, so that everyone could get more and more facilities while the Government could save time and money.
Nine more districts came into existence in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, taking the total number to 27, chief minister Raman Singh said.
The new districts, a new year gift to people, were carved out to speed up the pace of development, Singh said while talking to reporters here.
The new districts are Sukma, Kondagaon, Balod, Bemetara, Baloda Bazar, Gariaband, Mungeli, Surajpur and Balrampur.
Sukma district has been carved out of the state's worst Maoist affected Dantewada district and Kondagaon from the insurgency-hit Bastar district.
