Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh recently visited the tendu patta collection centre at Adivasi dominated Badgaon at Laampahad area in Korba district. He enquired regarding the minimum wages and working conditions. He informed the workers that the State Government had increased the wages from Rs 1200 to Rs 1500 per bag collected. He urged the workers to keep an eye on the quality of tendu patta also. Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand also was present on the occasion.
Health Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal today marked presence in the blood donation camp organized by Shree Akhil Bharatiya Kutch Kadwa Paatidar Samaj at Fafadih based Patidar Bhavan. On the occasion, Minister Agrawal said that this camp is a great example of social harmony, when people of all sections of society come together to contribute into progress of health sector. He motivated blood donators by saying that the way people donate blood with good intention to help people in need; it reflects their affection towards society, state and country.
Union Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry with the co-operation of Chhattisgarh State Government will be conducting a camp for providing prosthetic limbs and auxiliary devices to the physically disabled on January 8 (Wednesday) here in capital. The Composite camp and disabled instruments distribution function will be inaugurated at the Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Conference hall at 11:30 am.
Free operations will be conducted for various disabled persons at a camp to be held in Raipur. The members of International Vaishya Mahasammelan Chhattisgarh Pradesh and Narayan Seva Sansthan Udaipur (Rajasthan) met Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh and invited him to be the chief guest and inaugurate the camp on January 5. Dr. Raman Singh said that the district administration and Health Department will provide support to the camp. He wished the camp a great success as it is being done to alleviate the sufferings of the suffering masses.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today visited the two hospitals in Bilaspur and inquired about the health of women patients who were admitted to Apollo Hospital and CIMS Hospital. He visited Bilaspur twice in two days to personally supervise the treatment being given to the patients. The women were victims of the botched-up family planning operations conducted at Pendri village of Takatpur Development block and Gorela camps.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today held a high-level meeting with top officers over the situation arising out of the deaths of several women after operations at a sterilization camp at Pendari village in Bilaspur district. The meeting was held at the Chief Minister's official residence.

In this camp, doctors provided free counseling and advice for prevention and cure of jaundice, along with the medicines as per the requirement.
