Chief Minister visits Simhastha, Ujjain

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has termed the Simhastha Maha Kumbh being held on the banks of River Shipra at Ujjan, as the magnificent epitome of social harmony based on unity in diversity in the great Indian culture.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh while addressing the august gathering of pilgrims at Chhattisgarh pavilion established at the Simhastha Maha Kumbh observed these views. he said this Mahakumbh is organised in Ujjain every 12 years, where as Chief Minister Of Chhattisgarh, he got the opportunity to participate at the functions being held here.

CM leads a rally for safety of riders

An awareness campaign for helmet will be launched by the Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh from Telibandha Marine Drive on Sunday. It might come as a surprises for many, but the Chief Minister was riding a scooter with his helmet on, with an objective to send a message among one and all that helmet is necessary for the safety of two wheeler riders . With an aim to propagate the significance of wearing helmet and encourage the people particularly youngsters to do so the Chief Minister took the initiative and led the helmet rally.

Schemes are product of heart when made based on the discussions with people of villages in chaupals: CM

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that government schemes for common people can be made in ac rooms of secretariat but when it is made in chaupals among the villagers, then these schemes are made from heart. He said that the discussions held in chaupals become our agenda for future, which we follow religiously. Chief Minister expressed these thoughts on state-wide Lok Suraaj Abhiyan in the ninth episode of his monthly interview 'Raman Ke Goth' broadcasted from Raipur centre of Akashwani.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh greeted Chhattisgar State Cricket Sangh (CSCS) and sports lovers of the state on the achievement CSCS in the form BCCI permanent membership. The chief minister told the working committee members, who led by the CSCS president Baldeo Singh Bhatia met him at his officials residence, that the efforts of CSCS officials and people's love for game earned a permanent berth in the BCCI.

Active participation of youngsters will make State Youth policy unique: CM

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said on Monday that the youth policy of Chhattisgarh will be made by drawing participation of youths and every section of the society will play significant role in this regard. Dr. Singh today presided over the first meeting of the high level coordination committee which has been made for making the youth policy of the state under the 'Yuva Drishti Abhiyan'. State Planning Commission has made the committee and the Sports and youth Welfare Department has been made the nodal department for the policy.

A delegation of Kolta community led by Parliamentary Secretary Rupkumari Chaudhari paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at his official residence and invited him to participate in the historic Ramchandi Mahotsava being held at Garhfuljhar village on October 26. She informed that the festival is organized every year on the occasion of Ashwin Shukla Chaturdashi at the temple of Raneshwar Ramchandi Devi. The Chief Minister expressed his heartiest gratitude to the delegation for inviting him and extended his best wishes for the success of the festival.

Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) at 11.30 am on Monday under the Week in the presence of the Chief Minister as Chief guest. Dr. Raman Singh said during that era it was considered anti-national to speak, write and raising voice against the British regime. Pandit Madhav Rao Sapre in the year 1900 launched 'Chhattisgarh Mitra' (Monthly magazine) at far-flung and remote Pendra. He edited and published the magazine and spread awareness among the masses regarding the freedom movement in the entire Madhya Bharat.
