Community marriages are alternative to lavish weddings: CM

'Mission Indradhanush' launched to make children healthy: Dr. Raman Singh

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that total inoculation of all children in rural and urban areas is mandatory for the well-being of future generation. He was addressing a state-level meet of 'Mission Indradhanush' at Naveen Vishram Bhawan. He lit a lamp and inaugurated the Mission Indradhanush and wished the programme a success. The Mission will be implemented in eight districts for four months as the inoculation was less than expected in these districts. The team of experts will go to each and every house in the village and inoculate pregnant women and children free of cost.

CM blesses 401 couples at Jashpur community marriage

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today participated in various programmes in district Jashpur head-quarters. He blessed 401 couples who got married under the 'Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana' at a community marriage ceremony. The scheme is meant for the girls of poor and deprived sections of the society. About 84 developmental works worth Rs 134 crore were dedicated to the people in Jashpur district by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh.

The sports persons winning Gold Medals in individual games will be given Rs Four lakh instead of earlier Rs One lakh, those bagging silver medals will be awarded cash prize of Rs Three lakh 20 thousand instead of previous Rs 75 thousand and sports persons winning bronze medal will be given Rs Two lakh 40 thousand.
