राज्य सरकार ने प्रदेश की 10 हजार या इससे ज्यादा जनसंख्या वाली ग्राम पंचायतों को नगर पंचायत का दर्जा देने का निर्णय लिया है। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि, छत्तीसगढ़ की सुप्रसिद्ध तीर्थ नगरी शिवरीनारायण को तहसील का दर्जा और पामगढ़ को नगर पंचायत का दर्जा देने की घोषणा की। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रदेशव्यापी विकास यात्रा के दौरान जांजगीर-चांपा जिले के पामगढ़ के कुटराबोड़ में आयोजित आम सभा को संबोेधित करते हुए यह घोषणा की।

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said that the state is emerging as one of the most favourable destinations in the country for investment. He said that the state has immense possibilities for heavy investment and has an enthusiastic and positive environment for the establishment of Information Technology companies and industries related to energy sector.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said interest of public should be kept in mind while structuring a public-private partnership model. He said projects based on PPP model could play a vital role in fighting challenges of development by striking a balance between interests of public and private.
The chief minister said that the training should help officials in creating a PPP model best suited for Chhattisgarh. He was speaking at the inaugural function of a three-day training programme held in IIM-Ahmedabad on project management and PPP for senior officials of Chhattisgarh.
A delegation of engineers from Chhattisgarh Snatak Abhiyanta Sangh (CSSAS) met CM Dr. Raman Singh few days back and submitted him after five point demand related to graduate engineers working in Personnel department. Engineers Tapan Chakraborty (state president), SB Bapat, UK Suraj (general secretary), JK Sahu were present in the delegation, Chakraborty informed that the graduate engineers working in the Personnel department are not getting the benefit of promotion for last five years and are loosing their morale.
Files recommending action against former Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) chairman Bijayendra Singh and IAS G S Dhananjay were reportedly been forwarded to the Chief Minister for further course of action. While Singh was held guilty in Chhattisgarh Pre-medical Test (PMT) paper leak cases, Dhananjay was held responsible for Ambikapur school bag purchasing scam. Earlier, the level committee headed by Additional of Chhattisgarh, Narayan Singh after the investigation had moved the file to the General Administration Department of the State Government.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has said that providing all facilities to Naxal-infested districts in the state and bringing back Maoists to the mainstream is on the topmost agenda of his government.

Raipur: Tribals from various regions across the state gheraoed the residence of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Tuesday.
The tribals were armed with arrows and bows and pressed for their 15-demands to be met soon.
As soon as the police received information on the arrival of the tribals, they arrived at the CM’s residence and tried to persuade them to leave. There was a tussle between the police and tribals each trying to push the other group out. Noone was injured in the tussle.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday addressed students from Stanford University, US, who are visiting the state under a students exchange programme. The students are enrolled in the university’s bio-design programme.
Addressing the students, the CM said that researchers and educational institutions should focus more on researches done on equipments and treatment procedures used in the health sector. He added that access to high quality health services is everyone’s right and people who are associated with the field should come forward to help.
