On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day, officials-employees gathered Yesterday morning and read the preface of Constitution at Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan). It is noteworthy that as per the guidelines of Government of India, November 26 being Sunday (government holiday), the Constitution Day was celebrated today on November 27 i.e. Department's Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh led the group recitation of preface of the Constitution.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has greeted people of state on Indian Constitution Day today. Delegation of 'Dr Ambedkar Parinirvan Bhumi Samman Karyakram Samiti' led by Chairman Mr. Anil Khobragade today met Chief Minister during Jandarshan programme held at his residence and presented a picture of Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar, architect of Indian Constitution, to Dr Singh. Delegation thanked Chief Minister for celebrating Constitution Day. Dr Singh extended warm wishes to the delegation and people of state on the occasion of Constitution Day observed on November 26.
State Government's Directorate of Public Relations today celebrated Constitution day. Preface of Indian Constitution was read by all the officials and employees together and they took pledge of unity and integrity, at Chhotapara based Directorate premise. It is noteworthy that this year 125th birth anniversary of Dr Bheemrao Ambedkar, Chairman of Constitution Drafting Committee, is being celebrated across the country. Indian Constitution was adopted and enacted on November 26, 1949. Later it came into effect in entire country from January 26, 1950.
