Special drive for distribution of free bicycles and sewing machines to the female labourers of organized sector and distribution of free tool-kits to masons under the schemes of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, has been initiated in capital city Raipur from last week. Under this drive, PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal distributed free bicycles to 5000 female labourers, free sewing machines to 5000 labourers and tool kits to about 3000 masons, in the programmes organized at eight different venues in Raipur.
Taking initiative, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has issued an ordered to organise awareness drive regarding distribution new ration cards various schemes run by Chhattisgarh Building and Allied Labour Welfare Board in the State capital here on Sunday. The decision was taken during meeting of the officials and ensured that awareness drive will be launched by next week.
To Open various avenues in the field of education and employment among the minority community, Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar laid emphasis on creating awareness about various schemes run by the state government. The Chief Secretary also expressed his view during the meeting of Minority Welfare Board to implement 15-point programme of the Prime Minister.
State Government have ordered all the departments to seriously comply with the instructions of completing the recruitment procedure on vacant backlog posts of OBC. The circular issued by General Administration Department from Manatralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) states that the way backlog posts of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe were filled through direct recruitment; the same way departments should conduct a special recruitment drive to ensure recruitment on each and every backlog posts of OBC on priority bases.
The Raipur railway division is conducting a drive against the passengers, illegally traveling with the explosive and inflammables. The drive that started on September 17 will continue till September 26. The division is conducting the drive with the help of officials specially the RPF and Train Inspectors along with making announcement alerting the passengers about the dire consequences of the carrying of explosive and inflammables. Films, matchstick, crackers, petrol, diesel etc are not allowed to carry during the travel, SECR officials informed.
