State government will establish blood banks in thirteen districts of the state within a month. State Health Minister Amar Agrawal has directed the health department officials in a review meeting to make all the necessary arrangements in this regard. The minister informed that the blood banks will be started in Jashpur, Narainpur, Bijapur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Balrampur, Surajpur, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, Bemetara, Balod, Gariaband and Baloda Bazaar districts within a month. It may be mentioned that the state health department is presently running blood banks in sixteen districts.
Three cooperative sugar factories of Chhattisgarh have produced 68 thousand metric tons of sugar in the previous financial year 2013-14. These sugar factories are based in village Ramhepur of Kabeerdham (Kawardha) district, village Krerta of Surajpur district and village Karkabhaat of Balod district. In these factories, nearly 7 lakh 70 thousand metric tons of sugarcane were procured from more than 10 thousand farmers last year. During sugarcane crushing season 2013-14, total 7 lakh 70 thousand 931 metric tons of sugarcane were crushed, against the target of 8 lakh 70 thousand metric tons.
On the occasion of Teachers day on September 5, five teachers of Chhattisgarh will be felicitated at hands of President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee for their excellent contribution in the field of education, at the Teachers Felicitation Programme to be organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. These teachers will be awarded incentives of Rs 25 thousand each along with a silver medal and a certificate. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has congratulated the teachers selected for prestigious President Award.
Divisional Commissioner Dr. B.L. Tiwari on Thursday planted saplings Gundrdehi Kadam tree in the Tehsil office premises. Shri Narendra Shukla collector and other officials also planted one plant. Commissioner said on the occasion that the plants planted by the water and putting tree guards to protect him.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has expressed profound grief on sad demise of villagers in the accident that occurred in village Bhendi (Suregaon) of Daundilohara block Balod district. He has empathized with the bereaved families. Chief Minister has prayed for speedy health recovery of injured victims of the accident and has instructed the officials concerned to provide better medical facilities to them. Dr. Raman Singh has instructed the Balod Collector to provide financial aid to families of the deceased.
"District Headquarters of all nine newly-formed districts will be adorned with well-equipped stadiums for the convenience and facility of sportspersons there" said Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while addressing the general meeting of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association that was organized at conference hall of New Circuit House today, after the executive meeting of the association concluded.
