On the occasion of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary on October 2, pledge to 'make India clean' will be taken in all the offices, schools-colleges and various organizations in Chhattisgarh. Under nation-wide Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan, these pledge-ceremonies will be organized in all 27 District Headquarters of state around 9.30 am. Chief Minister, Regional MPs, MLAs, and Jila Panchayat Presidents will grace these programmes as Chief Guests and administer the pledge.
State government will establish blood banks in thirteen districts of the state within a month. State Health Minister Amar Agrawal has directed the health department officials in a review meeting to make all the necessary arrangements in this regard. The minister informed that the blood banks will be started in Jashpur, Narainpur, Bijapur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Balrampur, Surajpur, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, Bemetara, Balod, Gariaband and Baloda Bazaar districts within a month. It may be mentioned that the state health department is presently running blood banks in sixteen districts.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh will be on one-day tour to Berla-Bargaon (Bemetara district) to participate in the farmers function and will distribute Rs 66.62 crore bonus to the paddy farmers. Besides this Chief Minister will also inaugurate development works tune to Its 84 corer in the district. As per report. Chief Minister will leave State capital vie helicopter, and will reach Berla village to address farmers in a function and later 3 pm he will leave for Bargaon to participate in the public functions.
Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand on Monday chaired a meeting of district-level officials from various departments, at District Headquarters Bemetara, and reviewed the official works and development activities. In the meeting, Director Health Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Raipur-Durg Division Commissioner Dr. BL Tiwari and Bemetara Collector Dr. Vasavraju S were also present. In view of ongoing summer season and upcoming monsoons, Chief Secretary instructed the officials to take all precautionary measures beforehand so as to prevent spread of jaundice, diarrhea and other contagious diseases.
