Kalam felicitates 26 retired teachers at Bemetara

India's former President and Bharat Ratna awarded Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam felicitated 26 retired teachers with shawl and shreephal in a District level Teachers Felicitation programme organised at the Basic School Ground here on Thursday. Kalam also felicitated 22 students for excelling in the 10th and 12th boards examination with gold medals and citation letter.

Stadiums will be constructed in all New Districts: Dr. Raman Singh

"District Headquarters of all nine newly-formed districts will be adorned with well-equipped stadiums for the convenience and facility of sportspersons there" said Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while addressing the general meeting of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association that was organized at conference hall of New Circuit House today, after the executive meeting of the association concluded.

Rs 10.29 Crores approved for Taakam Anicut

State Government have given administrative approval of about Rs 10.29 crores for construction of anicut on Sheonath River in village Taakam of Bemetara block in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh. Implementation of this scheme will facilitate drinking-water supply, groundwater augmentation and irrigation facility for 50 hectares of area, to the farmers.
