"Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) has announced to take Zero Tolerance approach on pollution," stated Aman Singh, Principal Secretary, Housing and Environment Board. In Video conference at Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHIPS), Aman Kumar addressed the officials of Raipur, Bhilai-Durg, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarrh and Korba. He said that we need to start making efforts of environment conservation to check the pollution level under control during winter season on the basis of the policy 'Prevention is better than Cure.'

Unique Initiative for Environment Conservation: Villagers build 'Vriksha Mandir Parisar'

As a commendable initiative to create public awareness about environment conservation, people of a village in Chhattisgarh have conceptualized a unique idea of 'Vriksh Mandir Parisar' (Tree Temple Premise) and turned it into reality. Delegation of Paryavaran Mandir Samiti shared the details of this initiative with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh in Jandarshan programme organized today at his Raipur based residence. Representatives of Paryavaran Mandir Samiti requested Chief Minister to donate five plants for this project.

Chhattisgarh's Home, Jail and Public Health Engineering (PHE) Minister has advised teachers to pay attention towards environment, along with their teaching work in schools. He told them to plant fruit-bearing and shady plants in the school campus to keep it green. Home Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra expressed these thoughts while addressing the District-level Shala Praveshotsav organized in Sadhuram Seva Kunj of District Headquarters Surajpur.
