"Over the period of last nine years, State Government has paid serious attention towards the development of the bordering and the backward areas of state. As a result of which the areas situated near inter-state borders have undergone development on an expedited pace" said Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh while addressing the massive gathering at Tehsil Headquarters Ramanujganj, situated near Jharkhand border, in Chhattisgarh on the fourth day of the seventh and the last phase of ongoing state-wide Vikas Yatra.
Third phase of the state-wide Vikas Yatra-2013 kicked off with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh's visit to village Mohandi of Dhamtari district and then District Headquarters Gariaband on Wednesday afternoon, despite the scorching heat and rising temperature. Massive public gatherings were organized at both the places, during which inauguration and 'bhumi-pujan' of development works worth a total of Rs 73.21 crores was done. On the occasion, power substation of capacity 132/33 KV constructed at estimated cost of Rs 18 crores in Mohandi was also inaugurated.
