Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today chaired the meeting of executive committee of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, and took several important decisions regarding development of sports in state and also about the arrangements to be made for 37th National Games. Dr Raman Singh said in the meeting that sports talents of state, who have won medals for Chhattisgarh in past or who have missed the medal with narrow margin, should be polished into international-level sports persons.

Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Rajesh Munat made surprise inspection of inspection to take note of site International level Swimming Pool constructed near Sanskrit College premises at GE Road in the city here on Sunday. During the inspection, PWD Minister instructed Municipal Commissioner Awanish Kumar Sharan to make arrangements for opening of gymnasium for sports-persons and youths with an objective of providing healthy atmosphere to them by the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) administration.

International White Cane Day
In the inaugural programme of state's second international Astroturf hockey stadium in capital city Raipur of Chhattisgarh, Chief Guest of the occasion and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal felicitated veteran international hockey player Ashok Dhyanchand, son of Major Dhyanchand the Magician of Hockey. Chhattisgarh's senior international hockey player and resident of Raigarh district Vincent Lakda was also honoured.
