Shailesh Pandey, a student of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV) Bilaspur, bagged first position in ex temporary competition organised by Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (CGSLSA) at the auditorium of Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur on Sunday.
Justice Shri Naveen Sinha today swore-in as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Bilaspur at Durbar Hall of Rajbhavan. Governor Shri Balramji Das Tandon administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Sinha.
Chairman of Law Commission Justice LC Bhadu paid courtesy visit to Governor Balramji Das Tandon at Rajbhavan on Thursday. On the occasion, Principal Secretary to Governor Sunil Kujur was also present.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh was felicitated by Chhattisgarh State 76 Adhivakta Sangh on Thursday evening. The felicitation program was held in Sibbal Palace on VIP road in Raipur. It needs to be mentioned that Dr. Raman Singh has received host of felicitations since he secured third straight victory in State elections.
Applications regarding erratic electricity bills poured in during the district level mega Lok Adalat at District Court on Sunday. Ironically, no one was ready to pay heed to the applicants who were seen wandering around without water and food. It is to be mentioned here that the State Legal Services Authority had set a target of disposing off 13000 different cases.
"An Insurance scheme would be introduced for the Advocates in the State. After consultation with the Minister for Legal Affairs and Law Secretary, a meeting in this context would be held with the State Bar Council and representatives of different Bar Association for early implementation of the scheme," said Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at the State-level seminar of the Advocates held at Manas Bhavan, Durg.
