Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that programmes and policies can be formulated by interacting with masses and by not sitting in Ivory Towers and air-conditioned plush rooms. He added cheap rice scheme, free distribution of salt, grams, Nutritious diet scheme, purchase of minor forest produce on Minimum Support Price and many crucial decisions had been taken sitting in the sylvan surroundings of the rural settings. They benefited the common masses.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi today said that the Union Government had moved out of New Delhi and reached the door-steps of common citizens. This Government works in the midst of farmers and Adivasis. Mr. Modi added this was made possible with the blessings of 'Janata-Janardhan'. The launching of any scheme is not behind the closed doors of Vigyan Bhawan and New Delhi. The Union Government schemes are meant for the poor, farmers, oppressed, deprived and Adivasis sections of the society.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today launched a website 'Bunch Of Fools' of the Swachchta Mission social service organization. The orgnization is celebrating its first anniversary today. Dr. Raman Singh cut the cake and congratulated the members of ''Bunch of Fools'' and wished them a bright future. Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the members in spreading awareness about cleanliness among the general public. The delegation said that the members clean up the surroundings on every Sunday. Till now they have cleaned 62 institutions.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today launched Tree Transplant or Machine at the Botanical Garden in Naya Raipur by performing 'Pooja' archana. The Mission will help in protecting and preserving trees which are decades-old if not centuries-old. Many trees are generally cut down for road -widening and other construction purposes. The Tree Transplant Machines will help in uprooting trees along with soil and roots and shift them to some other place.
Chief Minister launches 'Gen-Next Summit-2015'
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on Monday launched a book written by Mr. Chandrashekhar Sahu on Chhattisgarh's traditional and folk games at his official chambers in Vidhan Sabha. It is a revised and updated version of 2014 book 'Chhattisgarh ke Paramparik Lok Khel' title. The book mentions that there are about 100 traditional and rural sports and games in Chhattisgarh. The book includes the games which are extinct also. Chief Minister lauded the efforts of writer Mr. Chakor to bring glory to sports which are already forgotten. Dr. Raman Singh congratulated him and wished him a bright future.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal launched the pulse-polio campaign on Sunday morning at Chhattisgarh Club in Civil Lines area by administering polio drops to a child. With the initiation of the programme, the first phase of National Pulse Polio Campaign for 0-5 years age-groups of children was launched in Raipur district.

Apart from national and global news, Chhattisgarh districts news will also be available on the news portal. A link is available on the portal to learn the Chhattisgarhi language. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh on Monday launched Integrated Online Registration System, an ambitions plan of Chhattisgarh Government to ease the process of registration of contractors and other related work, in a function held at Ne Circuit House on Monday. It is to be mentioned here that the Council of Ministers has on September 12, 2013 decided to introduce online registration system for the contractors of those department which are engaged in construction works.
