Around 50 Lakh persons to take pledge for cleanliness

Under the Rashtrlya Swachhata Abhiyan' (RSA), a total of around 50 1akh persons, including government officers, employees, school children and others would be taking pledge for sanitation. After the administration of pledge, around 5 lakh persons would take part in the cleanliness campaign and contribute for labour in all the district headquarters. The PHE Secretary and state in-Charge of RSA GS Mishra through video-conferencing from state secretariat in Naya Raipur conducted meeting of all the divisional commissioners, district collectors. Mishra gave them necessary instructions for success of the cleanliness programme to be organised on Oct 02.
Mishra informed that on Oct 02, special gram sabhas would be organised in all the panchayats in the state and in which the villagers would hold discussions on schemes for cleanliness and administer pldge to all villagers for maintaining cleanliness. During this rallies, 'prabhat pheris' and cultural programmes by 'kala jattha' will also be performed to create public awareness about cleanliness and sanitation. Through video-conferencing District Collectors informed that for constant monitoring of RSA, nodal and in-Charge officers have been ap-pointed at gram panchayat level. All these officers would hold co-ordination with concerned departments and ensure success of the campaign.
