Constitution Day : Secretariat Officials-Employees read preface of Indian Constitution

Department Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh led the group recitation of preface of the Constitution

On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day, officials-employees gathered Yesterday morning and read the preface of Constitution at Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan). It is noteworthy that as per the guidelines of Government of India, November 26 being Sunday (government holiday), the Constitution Day was celebrated today on November 27 i.e. Department's Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh led the group recitation of preface of the Constitution. Officials and employees of the Secretariat solemnly resolved to constitute India into a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic and to secure to all its citizens: justice, social, economic and political; LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; equality of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all fraternity assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation. It is noteworthy that Constitution of the country was adopted on November 26, 1949. On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Mr. RP Mandal, Principal Secretary Food Mrs. Richa Sharma, Secretary Revenue Mr. NK Khakha, Secretary Higher Education Mr. Ashish Bhatt, Secretary PHE Ms Shahla Nigar, Special Secretary Tribal Caste and Scheduled Caste Ms Reena Babha Saheb Kangale, Special Secretary Cooperatives Ms Reeta Shandilya and Deputy Secretary Mineral Resources Ms Iffat Aara and a large number of officials and employees of Secretariat were present.
