Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has announced that families belonging to extremely backward tribes such as Pahadi Korwa and Birhor will be provided free of cost blankets. After his discussion with delegation of these tribal communities from Jashpur at Jandarshan programme held today, Chief Minister instructed Jashpur Collector to take immediate action on their memorandum. Today, a large number of farmers, villagers, common people and women from various districts including capital city Raipur met Chief Minister and conveyed their grievances and demands.
Dr Raman Singh assured the delegation of Pahadi Korwa and Birhor tribes from Jashpur district that families belonging to these tribes will be provided blankets free of cost. The delegation led by Chairman of Pahadi Korwa and Birhor Development Agency Mr. Bhakturam also handed over memorandum to Chief Minister requesting construction of approach road from Gram Panchayat Kawai to Ghuipani village in Bagicha Block, to which Dr Singh gave approval. In the Jandarshan programme held today, delegation of farmers from Saraipali block of Mahasamund district Chief Minister and conveyed their grievances. On their memorandum, Dr Singh assured them that stop dam will be constructed at Katangi Nala of village Paterapali village. Farmers suggested that construction of this stop dam will facilitate irrigation of 160 hectare area. Chief Minister has forwarded their memorandum to Water Resource Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal for examination and necessary action in the direction. MLA Mr. Bhaiyaram Sinha along with member of a farmer family from village Ghoghopuri (Gurur block and tehsil) of Balod district today met Chief Minister at Jandarshan and submitted application. On request of Mr. Sinha, Chief Minister gave immediate sanction of Rs 1 lakh from discretionary fund to family of deceased farmer Mr. Harban Nayak.
On the occasion, delegation of farmers from Gram Panchayat Khainda (S) Baloda Bazar block led by Sarpanch Mr. Firoz Osle met Chief Minister and demanded construction of stop dam for irrigation facility. Chief Minister assured them of taking necessary action in the direction. Villagers of Jhiriyakhurd village (Pandariya block) of Kabeerdham district handed over memorandum requested construction of cc-road in their village. Chief Minister immediately gave approval on their request.
