"Philosophies preached by Lord Mahavir in the ancient age hold their relevance intact even for the modern world", said Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh while addressing the function organized on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti at Jain Dadabadi on Yesterday night. The programme was presided over by Housing and Environment Minister Rajesh Moonat.

CM approves growth projects worth Rs 73 lakhs at 'Jandarshan' programme

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh approved various development and construction works of total worth about Rs 73 lakh, on demands of Panch-Sarpanchs, villagers and delegations of various organizations, during the weekly Jandarshan programme organized at his residence today morning. During the Jandarshan programme, beneficiaries of Swavlamban Yojana from Balodabazar-Bhatapara district handed over memorandum to Chief Minister complaining about the encroachment over the shops allotted under the scheme.

Chhattisgarh Housing Board gets national HUDCO Design award

Chhattisgarh Housing Board was today conferred with the prestigious HUDCO award for its remarkable work in fields of environmental management and energy efficiency through green building concept. The board has been chosen for the HUDCO Design award 2012-13 under the ‘green building’ category for applying ‘green building concept’ in construction of buildings for Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission and CREDA.This is the third consecutive national award for the board in a year. Earlier, the board had bagged HUDCO award for social housing and EPC award for affordable housing.

Kurrah committee meeting of the Chhattisgarh Rajya Haj Committee (CRHC) expressed their gratitude to Governor Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for their initiative resulting in 92 additional seats for the Haj pilgrims from the State. Government to start free vehicle service to carry dead bodies from hospitals, CM

Government to start free vehicle service,

Chhattisgarh Government will soon start a vehicle service free of charge for the people to carry their dead ones from the State-run District Hospitals and Community Health Centers. This was announced by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh in a programme at his official residence on Tuesday.

CM appeals NMDC to give jobs to local youth

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has put forth a demand to the national public sector undertaking National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) foe absorbing cent-per cent local youths in Class-3 and Class-4 vacant posts in the projects under taken by the public sector major in tribal dominated Bastar Revenue Division. The Demand was put forth by the Chief Minister as a suggestion while chairing the meeting of Bastar and Southern Area Development Authority at Jagdalpur on Tuesday.
