Late Mr. Pawan Diwan will always remain in hearts of 2.5 crore people of state : Dr Raman Singh

Paying tribute to Saint-Poet and Ex-MP Mr. Pawan Diwan today, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that even after his departure from this world, Mr. Pawan Diwan will always stay alive in hearts of 2.5 crore people of Chhattisgarh. His timeless literary creations and thoughts will continue to inspire people. Chief Minister expressed these thoughts while addressing the tribute meet organized at Bramhacharya Ashram premise on the riverbank of Mahanadi in Rajim, in the memory of Mr. Diwan. In the premise, late Mr. Diwan was given 'Samadhi' as per the sant tradition and customary rituals were performed. Thousands of people had gathered to bid him tearful adieu. One minute silence was observed in the honour of departed soul. Chief Minister, Vidhan Sabha Speakers and many ministers, public representatives, litterateurs, and prominent citizens paid tribute to late Mr. Diwan.

In his address to the tribute meet, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that Mr. Pawan Diwan was a saint, a sensitive poet, a litterateur, and also a politician. His demise has caused profound grief to his devotees and admirers. He had a mesmerizing way of speaking. His revolutionaly thoughts and his bhagwat discourses used to have lasting impact on his devotees. Chief Minister said- late Mr. Pawan Diwan will always be remembered by each and every citizen of Chhattisgarh for his simple nature. Despite being a politician, he stayed away from the tactics and dedicated himself towards public service. He said that- Mr. Diwan had played an important in formation of state. He gave voice to sentiments of public through his poetry. Mr Singh said that 'Diwan Smriti Granth' will be compiled and published within next six months, so as to make his memories unforgettable. The tribute meet was also addressed by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal, Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, Ex-Chief Minister Mr. Ajit Jogi, Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Mr. TS Singhdeo and MLA Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Government's Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Ajay Chandrakar, Revenue and Higher Education Minister Mr. Premprakash Pandey, PWD Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat, Food Minister Mr. Punnulal Mohile, School Education Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Urban Administration Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal and other senior leaders, public representatives, litterateurs and prominent citizens were also present.
