Livelihood Colleges to be opened In 10 districts

Shri Premprakash Pandey, Technical and Manpower Development Minister, on Wednesday said that 10 Livelihood Colleges will be started soon at- Narainpur, Gariyaband, Dhamtari, Balodabazar, Mahasamund, Mungeli, Janjgir-Chapa, Balrampur, Surajpur, Koriya.

He was reviewing the activities of State Manpower Skill Development Authority. He said that 31,024 candidates were trained under the skill development initiative till August. About 21,205 students were trained under the State Manpower Skill Development Authority. The youth are informed of the various schemes under the Chief Minister Skill Development programmes and the Central Government Skill Development Initiative Programme.
Shri Premprakash Pandey reviewed the progress of Livelihood Colleges. The officials informed that Livelihood Colleges were started in 13 districts-Dantewada, Bijapur,Sukma, Bastar,Kanker, Kondagaon, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Raigarh,Bilaspur, Korba, Sarguja, Jasuhpur. The students are trained in construction, fabrication, electrical services, readymade garments, computer training, electronics, autumotive repairs and hospitality.
