Cong gives responsibility to Distt gen Secys to select candidates for training programme

To make the State-level training programme a grand success, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Committee (CPCC) has handed over responsibility to district general secretaries for the selection of members for programme. On late Tuesday night meeting was conveyed at the official residence of Leader of Opposition Ravindra Chobey, in which it was to make party district sectaries responsible for the selection of members for the training programme from their respective areas.

BJP Kisaan Cell to hold Kisaan Parliament in Delhi

The Bhartiya Janata Party Kisaan Cell is organising Kissan Parliament on may 12-13 at Mawalankar Hall, new Delhi. Altogether 38 representatives from BJP Kisaan cell in Chhattisgarh would be participating in the Kissan Parliament being organised under the chairmanship of National President (BJP Kisaan Cell) Omprakash Dhankad.

The office bearers discussed upon the preparations for welcoming Anurag Singh Deo, State president,BJYM, who would arrive on September 7, to take part in working committee meeting of BJYM, Bhilai, scheduled to be held at Chhattisgarh Agrawal Bhavan, on the same day.

Rahul Ghandhi in Raipur on May 18

All India Congress Committee General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit State capital on May 18 and will address the valedictory function of the party's three-day State-level training programme. The training programme will commence from may 16th. According to Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Nand Kumar Patel Gandhi is likely to address a public rally, after the office bearers' meeting.

Estimate Committee to decide on works

State Assembly Speaker Dharmlal Kaushik said on Monday that the Assembly Estimate Committee has the task to see whether the works for which funds have been demanded are useful or not. In case it is found that funds have been demanded for unnecessary works then the committee has the right to suggest for economising with such works, the Speaker added while addressing the first meeting of the estimate committee constituted for the year 2012-13.

The main Opposition party Congress has demanded high level inquiry into 'Sukma Collector abduction' incident and strict action against the guilty persons for safety failure that led into the crisis.
