2-day BJP 'Chintan Baithak' from today

The Bhartiya Janata party Government during its three and a half years tenure in the State has fulfilled 55 per cent promises made in the election manifesto. However, 45 per cent promises are yet to be fulfilled and pressures would be on the party-led Government in the State to fulfill these promises within a period of one year. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had already declared that his Government would fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto.

NSUI activists stage demo at KPS

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) activists on Monday, while launching a campaign against private schools, staged a demonstration outside Krishna Public School (KPS) at Nehru Nagar, demanding the refund of excessive fees collected from the parents under different heads. On information, police swung into action and arrested 19 NSUI activists. They were later produced before the court from where they were released on bail.

2 lakh BJP workers court arrest across State during 'Jail-bharo'

Nearly two lakh Bhartiya Janta Party leaders and workers across the State courted arrest during the 'Jail Bharo' agitation against UPA Government for its failure to check inflation and adopting 'several tricks' including 'misuse' of CBI to maintain majority and secure the support of political parities in Parliament and during elections. In Raipur, about 9000 people led by Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP National General Secretary, staged demonstration and later courted arrest.
