Champions League Twenty 20 tickets for Raipur matches are open for sale

Champions League Twenty 20 (CLT20) 2014 tickets for the eight matches to be played at Shahid Vir Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Parsada, Raipur are open for sale at Ticket Plaza No.4 of the stadium and via and from September 4 morning. Besides, tickets will be available at some places of city which are yet to be decided. Tickets counters of the city will be
opened within two-three days.

Astroturf Hockey Stadium, constructed by State Government's Sports and Youth Welfare Department in Raipur at the cost of Rs 12.50 crores, has been given recognition as an International Stadium by International Hockey Federation (IHF). In the inaugural programme of this magnificent stadium organized on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand (National Sports Day), Chief Guest Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal handed over the certificate of recognition to Sports and Youth Welfare Department Secretary Dinesh Shrivastava.

In the inaugural programme of state's second international Astroturf hockey stadium in capital city Raipur of Chhattisgarh, Chief Guest of the occasion and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal felicitated veteran international hockey player Ashok Dhyanchand, son of Major Dhyanchand the Magician of Hockey. Chhattisgarh's senior international hockey player and resident of Raigarh district Vincent Lakda was also honoured.

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Magician of Hockey Major Dhyanchand (National Sports Day), hockey players and sports lovers of Chhattisgarh have got the present of International Astroturf Hockey Stadium. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal inaugurated the stadium. In the inaugural ceremony, players of Indian hockey team played a stupendous inaugural match, in which India Team 'A' won the match by 4-1. On the occasion, several nationally and internationally reputed hockey players were also present.

CM to dedicate 2nd International Hockey Stadium to State

In a major step forward in the efforts to promote hockey in the state, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh will dedicate the second international hockey stadium having synthetic turf to the state on Friday. The dedication ceremony, which will be organised at 11 am on Friday, will also witness a high profile exhibition hockey match involving 32 international hockey players of India represented the nation at several international tournaments including
recently held Glasgow Common Wealth Games 2014.

'Construction of hockey Astroturf ground in capital city Raipur and sports complex in Bilaspur are nearing completion. Hockey Astroturf in Raipur will be inaugurated during National Sports Day programme to be organized on August 29 on the occasion of Major Dhyanchand's birth anniversary', said Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at the state-level event of International Olympics Day organized on Monday.
