State Government keen on linking industry with jobs: Subodh Kumar Singh

The State-level Commerce and Industry Department officers held a review meeting here today. The meeting was presided over by the Department Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh. He stressed upon the need for establishing industries as per the local district-level needs. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh is of the firm view that employment should be linked with industries. There was a detailed discussions on attracting the investments in Information Technology sector, solar energy, agriculture and forest produce-based industries.

Mr. Singh instructed the concerned officers to upgrade the skills of youth under the Skills' Development Programme and be in touch with I.T.Is and Livelihood Colleges in their areas of operation. The skills should be developed as per the requirements of the local industry. The compensation should be paid to the land-owners as soon as possible as per the norms. Mr. Singh instructed the officers to prepare a report and go-ahead for establishing rice mills at Rajnandgaon, Kawardha and Bemetara districts.

Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh said that Chhattisgarh State Departments will go Online according to the 'Digital India' campaign. The State Government offices will be linked at village,district-level. Any applicant who is willing to establish an industry in a district will be registered immediately at the District Industries and Commercial Centres.
