Sukma is developing very fast despite Naxal violence: Dr. Raman Singh

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that within four years (42 months) of the creation of Sukma district it has made a lot of progress. Chief Minister was addressing a Samaroh at the district headquarter Sukma.

It is a miracle that despite Naxalites' violence the remote border district of Chhattisgarh had made a significant progress in the field of education and infrastructure development. The youth undergoing training in Livelihood Colleges have made rapid strides in their careers. He inspected the Livelihood College and spoke to women there.

Dr. Raman Singh said in order to take administration to the doorstep of the masses nine new districts had been carved out in January 2012. There is a lot of development in far-flung regions of the State. There is a proposal to make Sukma a big educational centre soon. He sanctioned a Cultural Centre building, Gymnasium and Muktidham. He promised to solve the drinking water crisis in Sukma.

Dr. Raman Singh dedicated, performed 'Bhoomipujan' and laid foundation stones for 54 development works worth Rs 42 crore. Three Modern School buildings worth Rs Nine crore will be built soon. Government District Hospital will have its own building soon.
