Three L.E.D. bulbs will be distributed free of cost to B.P.L. category families: Dr. Raman Singh

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that three L.E.D. bulbs will be distributed free of cost to the poor citizens who fall under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. It will save a lot of electricity for the poor. 'Chief Minister L.E.D. Lamp Distribution Scheme' had been launched. He urged the poor families to contact the Power Distribution Company to avail of the benefits. Dr. Raman Singh called upon the farmers to grow crops and horticulture as per the soil tests and environment. He said that the target is to provide ten thousand solar irrigation pumps to the farmers on the river-canals' border areas. It will be implemented soon.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh was on 'Lok Suraj' Mission at village Sabaagh (Development block Kusumi) in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district bordering Jharkhand State and at village Kushaha (Development Block Sonhat) in Koriya district. He made surprise visits to both the villages much to the excitement of the rural inhabitants and conducted 'Choupals'. Dr. Raman Singh boarded helicopter at Ambikapur and landed at villages Sabagh and Kushaha.

Dr. Raman Singh listened patiently to the grievances and developmental works from the villagers and had detail interaction with them. He enquired with them regarding the various developmental programmes and policies of the State Government. At village Sabaagh, Dr. Raman Singh instructed the concerned department officials to solve electricity distribution issues as soon as possible. He sanctioned Health centre bhawan, High School building and community building and road from village Sabagh-Chando. He ordered the officials to provide solar energy drinking water facility to the village.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh then landed at village Kushaha in Koriya district. He sanctioned electrification of Pandopara at the village 'Choupal'. He assured three L.E.D. bulbs to the B.P.L. category ration card-holders to the villages around. He sanctioned Rs Five lakh to construct community bhawan at the village and four handpumps to the village and one of them solar power-pump. He sanctioned construction of tank and digging of a well. Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, Urban Development Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal, MLA Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and several people's representatives were also present.

Dr. Raman Singh launched 'Mukhyamantri Mahatari Jatan Yojana' at village Salgaonwakla in Korea district. About three lakh pregnant women will be provided with nutritious diet on six days a week free of cost at the Anganwadi centres. Dr. Raman Singh dedicated and performed 'Bhoomipoojan' of develomental works worth Rs 45 crore 83 lakh in Korea district. He dedicated Patna-Sarbhoka-Baadi-Budaar-Kudeli road laid at a cost of Rs 28 crore 85 lakh. He also dedicated Lahidi Government college building in Chirmiri built at a cost of Rs Two crore 28 lakh, Primary Health Centre building built at a cost of Rs 45 lakh 20 thousand at village Khnogapaani in Mahendragarh Development block and Government Higher Secondary School building at village Devadand built at a cost of Rs One crore 28 lakh. He laid foundation stones for other Higher Secondary school buildings also.

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today declared entire Sonhat Development block 'Open Defecation-free' zone. He said it was a matter of pride that the citizens have taken Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's 'Swachch Bharat' campaign to the villages. All the 13 thousand families have toilets at their homes. Several vital decisions have been taken for the welfare of farmers during the 'Lok Suraj' mission. Water harvesting will raise the water table in the villages and help in irrigation purposes. The farmers can go in for fish rearing and earn extra income. The citizens are enthusiastic regarding the various developmental activities in villages and cities.
