"Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) has announced to take Zero Tolerance approach on pollution," stated Aman Singh, Principal Secretary, Housing and Environment Board. In Video conference at Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHIPS), Aman Kumar addressed the officials of Raipur, Bhilai-Durg, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarrh and Korba. He said that we need to start making efforts of environment conservation to check the pollution level under control during winter season on the basis of the policy 'Prevention is better than Cure.'
Acoordinated effort by District Administration, police Local Bodies, RTO and Environment Bodies can certainly reduce the pollution. The four main reasons of pollution are industries, vehicles, construction activities and Biomass. All these factors are needed our attention to bring down the pollution level.
He asked the officials that Chhattisgarh Government has zero tolerance policy towards pollution. Hence, District Administration and environment Board have to synergise actions.
