Chhattisgarh School Education department has declared the dates and period of Dussehra-Diwali, Winter and Summer vacations for the academic year 2012-13. Accordingly, the Dussehra-Diwali vacation will be of 27 days, the Winter vacations will be of seven days while the Summer vacations will be of 46 days. As per the order issued by the school education department, the Dussehra-Diwali vacations would start from October 22, 2012 and continue till November 17, 2012.

Governor Shekhar Dutt awarded 186 Scouts and Guides, Rovers-Rangers with Governor's Award here in Rajbhawan during a state award function organized by Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chhattisgarh. The program was presided over by School Education Minister and Bharat Scouts and Guides Chhattisgarh, President Brijmohan Agrawal. Chhattisgarh pension Samaj President Dr. T K Bannerjee urged the Collector Siddhartha Komal Singh Pardeshi of speedy resolution of the pending pension cases during the 'Jandarshan; held on Monday in the Collectorate premises. Collector upon receiving the request, ordered the constitution of District level pension forum to sort out the various related cases. A total of 74 applications were received in the Monday's 'Jandarshan' programme.
