Kishanji: A wily commander done in by his own daring

Always clad in a cotton shirt with a scarf around his head and a Kalashnikov dangling from his shoulder, Mallojula Koteshwar Rao alias Kishanji was a wily commander and a rousing speaker. He wore several hats down his 37-year-long revolutionary road before police bullets felled him in West Bengal.

ABRS delegation CM to attend Ram Navami Mela

A Delegate of Akhil Bhartiya Ram Navami Sabha (ABRS) met Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at CM House here the other day. The delegates invited the Chief Minister to attend Ram Navami Mela (fair) which would be organised at village Kusmul,Dhabhra development block, Janjgir-Champa on January 6. Sarthi Samaj delegation meets CM

A Delegate of Sarthi Samaj Met Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh at the Chief Minister's residence here the other day. The delegation headed by Municipal Chairman Sanjay Shrivastav, invited the Chief Minister to attend a convention which would be organised at Raipur from January 7 to 8. YAC's movement against corporation begins

The members of Youth Against Corporation (YAC) on Thursday visited different college og school of the city with the objective of spreading awareness among students about YAC's nation-wide movement against corruption. According to the YAC members, they received overwhelming response from students as well as principals and other staff of the education institutions during their visits.
They paid visits to Durga College, Vivekananda College, Mahant College, Chhattisgarh College, Government J N Pandey School, National Institute of Technology and Government Science College.

Dr. Singh approves constrution projects worth over Rs 63 lakh during 'Jandarshan'

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh approved construction projects worth over Rs 63 lakh and asked the department concerned to refer 48 patients for treatment at Ambedkar Hospital free-of-cost during the weekly 'Jandarshan' programme held at the Chief Minister's residence on Thursday. Similarly, the Chief Minister asked the officials concerned to consider four medical cases under the Sanjeevani Fund Scheme.

Although sitting near the window of a railway compartment is enjoyable, but at the same time it should be considered as a risky venture as a large number of urchins from slum areas adjoining to railway tracks are now habitually pelting stones at the passing trains, and it is very likely that a passenger sitting near the window could bear the brunt of their juvenile delinquency.
