CM inspects construction works at Naya Raipur

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh inspected and reviewed the various construction works being under taken at the Naya Raipur Development Project area on Wednesday. During inspection construction works at Naya Raipur, he directed the officials to ensure development of basic amenities alike cities for the villagers in villagers residing in villages coming under Naya Raipur development project. He also directed complete all the construction works within the stipulated time period.

Elephant dies at Chhattisgarh zoo

Raipur, Nov 23 (IANS) Days after a tigress was found killed in a Chhattisgarh sanctuary, an elephant died at a zoo in Bilaspur district, forest officials said Wednesday.

A post-mortem report confirmed Wednesday that the one-and-half-month old elephant had died Tuesday at Kanan Pendari zoo, mainly due to dehydration.

Forest officials had brought the jumbo to Kanan Pendari Nov 5 in an injured condition from a forested area of Raigarh district after it got separated from its herd.

Three legends of Indian classic music on same stage! in Shaheed Smarak, Raipur

The fans of Indian classical music can see three most popular artists Padma Vibhushan Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj ji, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma Disciple Tako Hira and Poornima Bhatt performing together on the same stage in the city Raipur on Wednesday for Sri Sathya Baba's 86th Birthday Program.
