Foundation stone laid for new buildings

Urban Administration Minister Rajesh Munat inaugurated various new buildings and laid the foundation stones of various construction works to be initiated in Bhakhara-Bhatheli area falling in Dhamtari district.
State Finance Commission President Ajay Chandrakar presided over the programme while regional MLA Lekhram Sahu was present during the occasion as a special guest.

Over 60 villagers treated at free medical camp

Over 60 villagers were facilitated from the free medical treatment camp organised at village Dhudhwa under Karsa Gram Panchayat the other day. The free treatment camp was organised under the aegis of Shriram Krishna Seva Mandal, Sector-7 Bhilai. After examining and consultant the patients were given free medicines too.

Nutan Rathod awarded Ph D

Nutan Rathod has been awarded the degree of 'Doctor of Philosophy' by Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai.
Her title of thesis was 'Micellar Mediated Nucleophilic Catalysis of Some Substituted Carboxylic Esters using <-Nucleophiles'.
Nutan completed her Ph D under the supervision of Dr. Santosh K Sar, Professor, Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, Chhattisgarh.

Kondagaon people demand by-pass

Considering the rampant road accidents and uncontrolled traffic on the highways, the residents of Kondagaon appealed to both Union and State government for the construction of a by-pass road on the outskirts of the district.
However, due to the nonchalant attitude of State government no progress has been noticed in this regard till today.

Mock drill triggers panic of Naxals among villagers

In A curious turn of events, a mock drill organised by Urdna Police on the outskirts of district, triggered panic among the citizens, who believed that they were in the middle of a major Naxal-police cross firing exercise. The mock-drill was held in view of the tip-offs received regarding presence of Naxalites in the area.
