Reveenue and Rehabilitation Minister Dayal Das Baghel in a review meeting with the officials of his department instructed them to facilitate public utility services under Chhattisgarh Civil Services Guarantee Act to the people. Baghel in the meeting said that as per the announcement made by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, the common people must get the benefit of various government utility services and accordingly in 20 different department, this Act has been implemented. The meeting was also attended by B L Agrawal, Secretary and Dr. Sanjay Alangh, Joint Secretary.
The District Administration on Friday issued show cause notice to the owner of a rice mill in Kharora Nagar Panchayat, 40 km from Raipur, for alleged irregularities in custom milling and subsequently supplying number two rice to the Food and Civil Supplies Corporation. The Food Department of the Raipur District Administration asked the owner of the rice mill, Triupati Rice Industry, to present his side before of the District Magistrate within two weeks from the date of the notice, said Food Controller Dayamani Minj.
Guru Ghasidas National Park could become the fourth Tiger Reserve of Chhattisgarh. It has all the potential to sustain a healthy population of tigers. Forest Department of Chhattisgarh has completed the necessary survey and will send a proposal to the Ministry of Environment and Forest for approval in the next stage. After the approval from Union Government and National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) the proposal will be forwarded to the Chhattisgarh Government.
The citizens of the capital city have been mislead on the basis of fabricated evidence regarding the under construction foot over bridge, which is coming up on GE Road in front of BSNL telephone exchange. Efforts were being made to stop the construction bridge on the basis of wrongly interpreted facts and by creating undue fear of narrowing of road, said Mayor Dr. Kiran Moyee nayak after inspection of the site on Friday. The approval for the construction of foot over bridge was given after minute study of all the aspects. Final approval was given after the site inspection.
In an important , the single bench of Justice Satish Kumar Agnihotri on Friday, as an interim measure, stayed the land acquisition process initiated by the Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) for construction of new State capital city. The Court had earlier issued notices to UOI, State administration and NRDA with direction to file return in the matter. However, despite several hearings of the case, no return has so far been filed by the respondents.
