The main Opposition party Congress has taken initiative to properly monitor Central-run schemes in the State and has now focused it in the Bastar area. After having intensive monitoring in the Surguja region the Congress has leveled charges against the state ruling government for the gross violation regarding proper implementation of central scheme in the State.
The delay in completion of two power projects of the State owned Power Company may lead to power crisis in the State. In such situation, the State Government will depend on other State to purchase power at higher rates, to major the demands of the people in the State. According to sources, two major power projects Korba West and Madwa of the State power Company got delayed due to various reasons. Sources further said that the demand of electricity will lead to 500-700 MW power crises in the State in coming days. The possibility of power from other States cannot be ruled out.
Congress Corporator Ritesh Tripathi has been caught in trouble after his pro-Munat speech during a bhoomipujan at Hanipara on Sunday. Beleaguered Tripathi is now taking guard, giving clarification to the senior leaders of the Congress Party. Rumours are in air that Tripathi, in his speech, called the former Urban Administration Minister Rajesh Munat his idol. City Congress Party President Inderchand Dhariwal is going to seek clarification from Tripathi on the matter.
Hundred of Shikshakarmis under the banner of Chhattisgarh Shikshakarmi Federation would stage a symbolic dharna at Budhapara, Raipur, to draw State government's attention towards the demands of the shikshakarmis. The shikshakarmis federation has intimated the decision of staging a symbolic one day strike to Chief Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Education and Panchayat Secretaries and Raipur district administration and issued ultimatum to intensify the agitation if their demands are not met.
The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Raipur will start dispatching question papers for Class 10th, 12th board examinations 2012, to the district headquarters, from Tuesday. The process would continue for two days till Wednesday. According to a CGBSE official, on Tuesday the question papers of board examination will be sent to distant places. The CGBSE will send the question papers to 11 district of the state on Tuesday while it will send the question paper nine nearest district on Wednesday.

In A horrific incident of cold blooded murder a person killed his wife and five daughters in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday in village Mohandipat under Arjunda Thana. According to police, Accused Dhalsingh Dewangan son of late Mahesh Dewangan resides in village Mohandipat alongwith his family consisting of mother Keja Bai , wife Thaeshwari Bai and five daughters. He first killed his wife and then proceeded to slit the throats of all his five daughters - Nisha, Laxmi, Shakti, Nandini and Sandhya.
