A Local court has asked explanation from police over non execution of an arrest warrant issued in a matter of cheque bouncing. The warrant was issued in 2008. The court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Damroodhar Chauhan has sought explanation from the Station House officer (SHO), Azad Chowk police station over non execution of arrest warrant issued against Saranjeet Singh, who is a local person and proprietor of Transworld S K Farhan, who is the counsel for the complainant Ashok Khemnani.

The Chhattisgarh government on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Railways for setting up three passenger and freight rail corridors in the state's northern region. The MoU fro Rs 4,362 crore projects was inked between Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar and Railway Board Chairman Vinay Mittal in the presence of Chief Minister Dinesh Trivedi. Union Minister of State for Railways Bharatsinh Solanki and Chhattisgarh Industry Minister Rajesh Munat were also present on the occasion.
