Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal said that development of villages, poor and farmers is the chief objective of Lok Suraaj. Development of farmers and labourers leads to progress of the villages, and progress of villages is the true progress of the state and the nation as a whole. Minister AGrawal said that Chhattisgarh is the first state of the country, where state government visits villages and cities of the state to evaluate implementation of public welfare schemes and to check the ground reality of development works.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today convened a meeting of Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) and reviewed the various construction works under way for development of Naya Raipur. He instructed the officials concerned to build dormitory (Rain Basera) with accommodation capacity of minimum 125 persons, at Naya Raipur for the poor people coming to Naya Raipur from various parts of the state. He said that land near village Naya Rakhi should be earmarked for construction of dormitory, and other necessary arrangements in the context should be completed soon.
The poorest of the poor in Chhattisgarh is close to this government and this is the reason why this government is keen to introduce schemes keeping in view the requirements of poor and farmers, the Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh was addressing a programme organized to launch the 'Atal Khetihar Mazdoor Bima Yojana' on the occasion of birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The day is celebrated as Sushashan Diwas in Chhattisgarh.
