Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Ramsheela Sahu and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawa today visited a camp organized in village Kohraud of Baloda Bazar district, under Lok Suraaj Abhiyan. In the camp, goods and cheques were distributed to beneficiaries under various government schemes. On the occasion, bhumi-pujan and inauguration of development works worth nearly Rs 16 lakh 50 thousand also took place. Moreover, 'Annaprashan Sanskar' of seven children was organized in the camp.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal attended the oath taking ceremony of newly elected members of Balodabazaar District Bar Association. The function which was held at the campus of Balodabazaar District and Sessions Judge Praveen Kumar Pradhan. On the occasion, the Speaker announced a grand of Rs 21 lakh from his discretion fund for facilities which can be extended to both the advocates, their clients as well as for common people who come to the court for seeking justice.

A day long Exhibition under Baloda Baar development scheme project 2031 was organised at Dussehera ground, the other day. On the occasion of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary on October 2, pledge to 'make India clean' will be taken in all the offices, schools-colleges and various organizations in Chhattisgarh. Under nation-wide Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan, these pledge-ceremonies will be organized in all 27 District Headquarters of state around 9.30 am. Chief Minister, Regional MPs, MLAs, and Jila Panchayat Presidents will grace these programmes as Chief Guests and administer the pledge.
State government will establish blood banks in thirteen districts of the state within a month. State Health Minister Amar Agrawal has directed the health department officials in a review meeting to make all the necessary arrangements in this regard. The minister informed that the blood banks will be started in Jashpur, Narainpur, Bijapur, Kondagaon, Sukma, Balrampur, Surajpur, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, Bemetara, Balod, Gariaband and Baloda Bazaar districts within a month. It may be mentioned that the state health department is presently running blood banks in sixteen districts.
