Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh performed 'Bhoomi-Pujan' of Sarguja Knowledge Hub and inaugurated Skill Development Centre, Tennis Court and Basketball Court at District Headquarters Ambikapur, today. On the same day, Chief Minister performed bhumi-pujan of Siyaan Sadan, flagged-off city bus services in Ambikapur, and inaugurated football academy and a science college, during different programmes. Besides, Police Coordination Centre was also inaugurated at hands of Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh would on Friday perform 'bhoomipujan' for the development of Knowledge Hub project at Namankala in Ambikapur. The cost of the project has been estimated at Rs 25.25 crore. The objective of the project is to attract more students towards science and encourage them for creative work. There would be as many as 15 different institutes such as Science College, Prayaas Boys and Girls Residential Colleges, Adarsh Boys and Girls Hotel etc. on the same premises which spread over 80 acre land.
Hostel buildings will be constructed for 10 government polytechnic colleges in Chhattisgarh. State government has approved the proposals of hostel building construction for the Government Polytechnic Colleges in Korba, Janjgir-Champa, Dhamtari, Durg, Raigarh, Ambikapur, Kabeerdham, Mahasamund, Takhatpur, and Government Girls Polytechnic College in Jagdalpur. State Government has sanctioned Rs 1 crore for construction of each hostel building. Technical Education Department has given the responsibility of the construction work to Chhattisgarh State Housing Board.
