Under the Rashtrlya Swachhata Abhiyan' (RSA), a total of around 50 1akh persons, including government officers, employees, school children and others would be taking pledge for sanitation. After the administration of pledge, around 5 lakh persons would take part in the cleanliness campaign and contribute for labour in all the district headquarters. The PHE Secretary and state in-Charge of RSA GS Mishra through video-conferencing from state secretariat in Naya Raipur conducted meeting of all the divisional commissioners, district collectors.
Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan
Under the awareness campaign for cleanliness under nation-wide programme, on Monday, Inter-state bus stand was cleaned in presence of Nagar Panchayat president Peeluram Yadav, vice president Mansingh Somvanshi, additional CEO Shishirkant Pandey along with other public representatives. The people were appealed not to make their surroundings unclean. In rural areas Janvikas Sansthan of Bastar is organizing cleanliness week in Gongala Panchayat. Meanwhile in Patinaikaras and Kundapal, the villagers, men, women and children are participating in cleaning the village.
As per the instructions of Governor Balramji Das Tandon, rigorous cleaning drive was conducted in Rajbhavan to clean the rooms of secretariat, premises and offices, under Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan. Officials and employees of Rajbhavan actively and enthusiastically participated in this cleanliness drive. Various departments of Rajbhavan, along with residence and office premise were cleaned and waste materials were destroyed. Meanwhile, office records and files were also arranged systematically.
On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, special sanitation drive under 'Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan' would be conducted on October 2 where in Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh will administer the oath of maintaining cleanliness to thousands of school students and officials regarding the sanitation drive at JR Dani Girls School, told Ganesh Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Public Health & Engineering Department while addressing media persons at Collectorate Hall here on Tuesday afternoon.

Governor Tandon said that Government of India has pledged to achieve the target of Clean India by the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi i.e. by October 2, 2019. It is the responsibility of every citizen to adopt hygienic ways so as to maintain clean surroundings and contribute to success of this campaign.
On the occasion of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary on October 2, pledge to 'make India clean' will be taken in all the offices, schools-colleges and various organizations in Chhattisgarh. Under nation-wide Swachchh Bharat Abhiyaan, these pledge-ceremonies will be organized in all 27 District Headquarters of state around 9.30 am. Chief Minister, Regional MPs, MLAs, and Jila Panchayat Presidents will grace these programmes as Chief Guests and administer the pledge.
