Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) has once again been honoured at national level. Today on the occasion of Global Partnership Summit organized on the theme-'Smart City, Smart India' by ASSOCHAM at Hotel Le Meridian of New Delhi, Chhattisgarh Housing Board was awarded "the Best Housing Board' Award for providing affordable housing facility. Chhattisgarh's Housing-Environment and PWD Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat, CGHB Chairman Mr. Bhupendra Singh Savanni and Commissioner Mr. Siddhartha Komal Singh Pardeshi together received the award at hands of Union Minister of Road and Transport Minister Mr.
Chhattisgarh was today once again conferred with the prestigious national award for successful implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The state was awarded during an exhibition of works done by various states under NREGA at Vigyan Bhawan here. Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh gave away the award to Chhattisgarh Panchayat and Rural Development department, Secretary, P C Mishra and Nodel officer Subhash Mishra.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has congratulated winner sports-persons and their coaches for bagging eight medals while representing Chhattisgarh in Sub-Junior National Archery Competition in Goa. Delegation of sports-persons led by Secretary of Chhattisgarh Archery Association Mr. Kamal Murarka paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh at his residence office and showed their medal and certificates to him. Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Labhchand Bafna and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tennis Association Mr. Vikram Sisodia were also present on the occasion.
Chhattisgarh Government would be establishing a National Institute to provide Technical Skill of Security Guards to youths of Chhattisgarh soon.
Above decision was taken at the meeting of Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority (CSSDA) held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singhat Mantralaya here on Tuesday evening during which the Minister for Higher Education Prem Prakash Pandey as well as Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand were also present.
Union Women and Child Welfare Minister Menaka Gandhi today gave away National Awards to three Aanganbadi workers from Chhattisgarh at a function held in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Names of the awardees are Mrs. Jagmati, Mrs. Rajkumari Soni and Mrs. Sahodra Sinha. It is noteworthy that Mrs. Jagmati from Ghurli Madipara of Dantewada district was awarded National Award for year 2011-12, Mrs. Rajkumari Soni of Sahaspur Kohara (West-3) of Kabeerdham (Kawardha) has been awarded for year 2012-13 and Mrs. Sahodara Sinha of village Nipani-1 of Durg district has been awarded for year 2013-14.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today chaired the meeting of executive committee of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, and took several important decisions regarding development of sports in state and also about the arrangements to be made for 37th National Games. Dr Raman Singh said in the meeting that sports talents of state, who have won medals for Chhattisgarh in past or who have missed the medal with narrow margin, should be polished into international-level sports persons.
The two-day National Workshop of the State Public Works Department today began at the New Guest House. State Public Works, Housing, Transport and Environment Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat inaugurated the workshop. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that those winning medals in the ensuing National Games will be given higher monetary awards. The sports persons winning Gold Medals in individual games will be given Rs Four lakh instead of earlier Rs One lakh, those bagging silver medals will be awarded cash prize of Rs Three lakh 20 thousand instead of previous Rs 75 thousand and sports persons winning bronze medal will be given Rs Two lakh 40 thousand.
