On the third day of the seventh phase of ongoing Vikas Yatra, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh reached Janakpur, block head quarters of Bharatpur in Koriya district bordering Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the mammoth gathering the Chief Minister said the State Government's first priority is to connect the last person and family of the society with the main stream. Every effort has been made in this direction by the Bhartiya Janata party led State Government during its last ten years tenure.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh commenced the seventh phase of state-wide Vikas Yatra today from Block Headquarter Khadganwa. On the occasion, Chief Minister addressed the massive gathering of people saying that the state will have a tomorrow far better than the present. In last 13 years, State has successfully conquered the pain of migration and the curse of backwardness, by undergoing drastic development. Large number of people gathered at the programme venue in Khadganwa to accord zealous welcome to Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, on Thursday, kick-started the fifth phase of 'Vikas Yatra' after having conducted 'Puja' of Maa Mahamaya Devi in Ratanpur. Enthused by a large public gathering present on the crowd. He asserted that mere 10 years of BJP rule has seen the development not undertaken in past 60 years of Congress regime. It was announced that party National President Rajnath Singh and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would also be present on the conclusion ceremony of Vikas Yatra.
Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National Leader and Lok sabha Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj will flag-off the 4th phase of State-wide 'Vikas Yatra' from District Headquarter of Arang, Raipur District on Monday. She will be attending the inaugural ceremony of 'Vikas Yatra' as the chief guest.

In his address to the gatherings, Dr. Raman Singh said that in democracy, elected government formulates various schemes to empower the public with 'right to development'.
Third phase of the state-wide Vikas Yatra-2013 kicked off with Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh's visit to village Mohandi of Dhamtari district and then District Headquarters Gariaband on Wednesday afternoon, despite the scorching heat and rising temperature. Massive public gatherings were organized at both the places, during which inauguration and 'bhumi-pujan' of development works worth a total of Rs 73.21 crores was done. On the occasion, power substation of capacity 132/33 KV constructed at estimated cost of Rs 18 crores in Mohandi was also inaugurated.
