CRPF jawans seize explosives

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) made recovery of explosives from the restive areas of Bijapur district. The personnel of the CRPF 168 battalion were on a routine search on Monday evening when they found the explosives. The team recovered 15 kilograms landmine from an area falling between Basaguda-Murtunda villages, situated 47 km from Bijapur district head-quarter. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of the battalion defused the bomb on the spot and averted a major mishap. Also recovered along with landmine were 2 detonators and a 200 meter electric wire.
